Collection: Vegetable Garden Seeds

Our Mountain Garden has a small but productive vegetable patch here on Tamborine Mountain in South East Queensland. We collect, grow, and save open-pollinated and heirloom vegetable seeds, and have been doing so for many years now.

We focus on saving seeds from plants that stand out for their productivity, taste, and overall vigour in our environment — a mix of temperate winters and warm subtropical summers that makes South East Queensland a unique place to grow.

Because we save from multiple plants rather than just one to help maintain genetic diversity, we often end up with more seed than we can replant, so our surplus is offered here. We also source selected varieties from specialist wholesale suppliers and repackage them for home gardeners who don't hold a wholesale account and can't easily access them through mainstream garden centres.

For the last 20 years we have had a particular interest in fresh and dried bean varieties, along with pumpkins and other garden staples. These seeds are ideal for gardeners who value fresh food, seed saving, and seasonal growing. These varieties can be saved year after year, allowing you to build a living seed collection adapted to your own garden climate.

We post to QLD, NSW, ACT, VIC and SA. Due to biosecurity restrictions we can't post to WA, NT or TAS — sorry about that, those are the rules, not us!
