Seed grown and collected at Our Mountain Garden
Jacob's Cattle is an heirloom bush bean. Famous for its distinctive white seeds splashed with deep red markings and high yields of creamy but dense textured rich and nutty flavour. They hold their shape perfectly during cooking, making them a premium choice for baked beans, soups, and many other dishes.
This bean traces back to Prince Edward Island from Eastern Canada, it’s a much loved and traded bean because of its ability to produce heavily, store well, and cook beautifully in hearty meals. Can also be eaten young as a fresh bean, though shines best as a dry bean.
