A very productive heirloom-style dry bush bean producing a yummy and beautiful caramel/butterscotch and white coloured seed. They date back to around the 1860's North American, New England area with strong baking heritage notably "Boston Baked Beans" also great in soups, stews, casseroles, but especially in baked bean-style dishes.
Butterscotch is one of our most productive dry beans, performing strongly for us since 2009. It is our favourite for homemade baked beans, combined with its exceptional productivity, it has become one of the true workhorses of our bean collection.
