Seed grown and collected at Our Mountain Garden.
A productive, cool-season edible chrysanthemum with lush, rounded leaves and cheerful yellow daisy flowers.
Grown for both the kitchen and the vase, this variety produces tender greens for salads and cooking, along with bright, long-stemmed flowers perfect for bouquets. See my photos for examples of the bouquets that I have produced using them.
A cool-season crop sown in autumn, plants establish quickly and overwinter to provide an early flush of blooms in late winter and early spring — making it one of the earliest and most cheerful flowers of the season, as well as a valuable dual-purpose crop for both food and flowers.
Seeds are saved from the best plants, selected for longer side stems with bouquets in mind.
