Seed grown and collected at Our Mountain Garden
Haricot Crevette is a traditional French heirloom bush bean grown for its excellent shell and dry beans. The name translates to “shrimp bean”, referring to the attractive salmon-pink colouring of the fresh shell beans. Compact plants produce generous crops without the need for staking, making this an easy and rewarding variety for home gardeners.
Originally developed and treasured in French kitchen gardens, Haricot Crevette is highly regarded for its rich flavour, creamy texture, and ability to hold its shape beautifully during cooking. It is particularly well suited to soups, stews, casseroles, cassoulet-style dishes, and other slow-cooked meals where quality dry beans are prized.

• Harvest pods as shell beans or allow to mature fully for dry beans
