A beautiful old world pastel zinnia producing soft buttercream to cream blooms. Unlike the bright, bold colours often associated with zinnias, Isabellina offers a gentle vintage palette that blends beautifully with cottage garden and cut flower plantings.

An heirloom variety dating back to at least 1955, Isabellina is treasured for its soft diluted colouring. While many modern zinnias have been selected for bold, vibrant shades, Isabellina offers gentle cream, and buttery tones that continue to attract bees, gardeners and flower breeders alike.

One of the reasons I’ve chosen to grow Isabellina is for its beautiful soft colouring. I’m hoping it may help introduce some of these diluted pastel tones into a few of my own zinnia breeding projects, and I’m excited to see where that journey leads. I’ll keep you posted.

This heirloom variety grows strong branching plants that produce an abundance of blooms over a long season. The flowers combine especially well with other summer blooms,  dahlias, sunflowers and other soft-toned or vintage colour palettes.

A favourite for both gardeners and florists, Isabellina brings warmth and elegance to bouquets without overpowering other flowers. The subtle colouring can vary slightly between plants, adding interest and charm to every planting.

Excellent for attracting pollinators and easy to grow from seed, making it a rewarding choice for both beginner and experienced gardeners.
