Zephyranthes - La Buffa Rosa Group - ‘Heart Throb’ - (1x Bulb)

A named cultivar from the La Buffa Rosa Group, which are fragrant pink and white Zephyranthes originally wild-collected at Sierra Chiquita in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains of Tamaulipas, Mexico, and introduced by Yucca Do Nursery.

'Heart Throb' is the deepest-coloured cultivar in the La Buffa Rosa collection — rich, saturated deep pink petals with a striking contrasting white throat that makes it immediately recognisable among the group. Where 'Pink Panther' is soft and 'Lily Pies' is mostly white, Heart Throb is bold. The name is well earned. Delicately fragrant, medium-sized flowers 6–7 cm on strap-like foliage. Flowers well through summer to autumn after rain in full sun to part shade. Multiplies via offsets more slowly than common species, which is why stock is limited.  Likes to be crowded. Can cross-pollinate with other Zephyranthes.

The most visually dramatic variety in the La Buffa Rosa Group, and consistently the most eagerly requested variety in our collection. Suited to pots, garden beds, and rockeries.
