Marigold Xochi Orange F1 - (30x Seeds)

We're very excited to introduce Xochi Orange F1, a professional cut flower marigold that will be new for us this season. Our first tray has been sown and germination has been fantastic, so while I'm waiting for our OMG-grown photos, the photos we have are from our supplier.

This is definitely not your ordinary garden marigold. Xochi Orange was bred specifically for the cut flower industry, producing tall, strong stems topped with large, rich orange, fully double blooms. An African Marigold (Tagetes erecta) selected for its strong stems, large flowers, excellent durability and ability to produce quality blooms for cutting. Plants can reach approximately 60-90 cm, making this a very different proposition from the shorter bedding marigolds.

The flowers have excellent substance and durability, making them particularly useful for bouquets, grower bunches and floral arrangements. They also have an impressive vase life, making Xochi Orange a very exciting marigold for the cutting garden. The name Xochi comes from Xochitl, a Nahuatl word meaning “flower.” The name acknowledges the marigold's deep connection with its Mesoamerican heritage, where marigolds have been treasured for centuries. We can't wait to see this one in our bunches soon.
