30 × Zinnia seeds (mix). A cross between Floret Precious Metals × open-pollinated varieties. This is NOT a stable, named variety 🌸
The seeds listed are from the exact same cross/batch/save as the flowers shown in the photos. As a small cut flower grower with a love of breeding and saving my own seeds, I collected these seeds hoping to find something interesting to work into a new line from the outcomes.
I’ve grown 47 seeds/plants from this save—see the photos for what they produced and for a clue as to what may be possible from the seeds offered in this mix.
They are vigorous, tall plants with long stems and a mix of single, semi-double, and double flowers in medium to giant sizes. Colours range from blush to bright shades. They are great for use in the cut-flower bunches I sell (see this cross and other zinnias in action in the last photo of our bouquets). The darker pinks matched the cosmos and some of my dahlias really well.
I have put some of this mix aside for next year’s season, but I have so many extras that I thought I’d share some.

The mother plants were grown from a pack of Floret Precious Metals.
The fathers, thanks to the bees, include Floret Precious Metals, Queen Lime Red, Queen Lime Orange, Benary’s Giant Pink, Benary’s Giant Salmon, and two of my own projects.
I have also saved seeds from this mix (the first-generation plants shown in the photos) and look forward to seeing what they produce next generation.
