Very productive in her first year here on Tamborine Mountain, with genuinely strong stems and a beautiful soft lavender colour that blended beautifully in our bouquets. A lovely one to have in the patch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eGlenmarc Skye is an Australian-bred miniature decorative dahlia introduced by Alf Hardingham in 2005 — the Glenmarc prefix being his well-regarded Australian breeding line. The blooms are a soft lavender to lilac, neat and well-formed, sitting on tall upright stems that make her a pleasure to pick. She is considered an excellent cut flower variety and is sought after by florists and flower farmers for exactly the qualities we noticed in our own patch.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eGrowing Information\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eSowing time: \u003c\/b\u003eSeeds need warmth to germinate - soil temperature of at least 18°C, ideally 20-25°C.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eStarting method: \u003c\/b\u003eSow into seed raising mix in small pots or trays, covering seeds lightly with about 5mm of mix. The paper towel method also works well - place seeds between damp paper towels in a warm spot (20-25°C), check daily, and pot up as soon as you see a root emerge. Once sprouted, keep seedlings in good light to avoid leggy growth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003e\u003cb\u003eGermination: \u003c\/b\u003eTypically 7-14 days at 18-25°C.
